The Smart Grid Index (SGI), produced by SP Group biannually, is a simple and quantifiable framework that evaluates the “smartness” of power grids worldwide across seven key dimensions. The SGI provides actionable insights to utilities, empowering them to create more intelligent grids and deliver enhanced value to their customers.
SGI 2026 will be launched at Future of the Grid 2026, on 27 October. After the launch, global utility CEOs from the benchmarking will join “Utility Leaders Dialogue: Advancing the Smart Grids Together”. The Dialogue will present insights and best practices among industry peers, and accelerate the evolution of smart grid technologies globally.
