Singapore Battery Consortium

Singapore Battery Consortium

Battery Consortium Singapore is a platform that connects industry, research institutions, academia, government agencies, and regional partners to strengthen the battery ecosystem in Singapore and across the region. Its mission is to support the development, translation, commercialisation, and deployment of battery-related technologies, while creating opportunities for collaboration across the entire battery value chain. The consortium brings together more than 150 members, including around 100 industry members, alongside researchers and representatives from Institutes of Higher Learning.

The consortium supports the ecosystem through industry networking, workshops, technical events, strategic technology discussions, standards development, national working groups, and regional outreach. Its activities span key areas including battery materials and components, cell manufacturing, battery systems and applications, safety, maintenance, recycling, remanufacturing, and end-of-life solutions. Beyond Singapore, the consortium is also increasingly focused on building stronger connections across ASEAN and the wider Asia-Pacific region, working with regional associations and international partners to facilitate knowledge exchange, technology collaboration, and business opportunities.
