Redi Allan B. Remoroza
Redi Allan B. Remoroza is the Deputy Assistant Chief Technical Officer for Planning & Engineering and Head of the Transmission Planning Department at the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP). He brings over two decades of senior technical leadership experience in transmission planning, power system development, and the integration of renewable energy into the Philippine power grid.
As Deputy Assistant Chief Technical Officer for Planning & Engineering and concurrent Head of NGCP's Transmission Planning Department, he leads the strategic development of the country's transmission backbone in support of the Philippines' energy transition. He has played a pivotal role in major national initiatives, including the development of new 500 kV transmission backbone facilities, the expansion of AC submarine cable links, and the landmark Mindanao-Visayas Interconnection Project (MVIP). His current work focuses on enabling the rapid growth of renewable energy generation, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and emerging grid technologies while ensuring system reliability, resilience, and stability.
Mr. Remoroza's expertise spans the evolving challenges of large-scale renewable energy integration, regulatory alignment, and grid modernization. Through his leadership, he continues to strengthen NGCP's role as the backbone of the Philippine power system, helping position the grid to meet national energy objectives and support ASEAN's broader vision for regional energy integration and cooperation.
