Dr. Keehan Chan is a power systems specialist with over 20 years of international experience specializing in the grid connection, integration and system studies of renewable and low carbon energy resources. He is currently the Market Area Director (Asia) and Senior Principal Consultant, Energy Systems at DNV, advising utilities, regulators and developers across Asia Pacific. 
 
Dr. Chan has led and reviewed grid connection and interconnection studies for large scale solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), offshore and cross border power imports, and hybrid generation projects. His experience spans transmission planning, power system stability, frequency and reserve management, and reliability assessment in renewable dominated power systems, including HVDC and long-distance subsea links. 
 
He has played key roles in major renewable integration and interconnector studies in Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and the Gulf, supporting compliance with grid codes, reliability standards and regulatory frameworks, and regularly engages with system operators and energy regulators. 
 
Dr. Chan holds a PhD in Power Engineering from the UK and is a Chartered Engineer (UK) and Chartered Professional Engineer (Australia).
