Biswarup Ghosh

Biswarup Ghosh is the Global Director, Grids of the Future at the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet, where he leads the organisation’s work on modernising electricity grids across the Global South. He works with utilities, governments and other stakeholders to make power systems more flexible, intelligent and resilient, enabling greater integration of renewables, distributed energy and storage. Biswarup has also been instrumental in the creation of the Global Energy Alliance and International Solar Alliance Multidonor Trust Fund, which has mobilised more than $20 million to support the clean energy transition. He is an Engineer and Attorney with experience across energy, technology and corporate law. Over the course of his career, Biswarup has worked across climate, technology, telecommunications, analytics and global corporate organisations, advising senior leadership and global stakeholders across India and the Asia Pacific region. His experience spans contracts, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, disputes, M&A, intellectual property, data privacy, open-source compliance, ESG and commercial transactions. He also worked with Cambium Networks, Fractal Analytics and Honeywell, supporting businesses operating across multiple geographies and sectors. His cross-sector experience has shaped a practical approach to solving complex problems, with a focus on solutions that are commercially viable and can be implemented by business teams.
