Alvin is a seasoned leader in the grid automation industry with more than a decade of experience driving business growth and innovation across Asia Pacific, China, East Asia, and India. As Region Leader, he oversees cross-border teams, leads commercial strategy, and accelerates the adoption of next-generation automation and digitalisation technologies that support the evolving needs of the power sector.

With extensive experience managing full P&L responsibilities, operations, and regional strategy, Alvin has consistently delivered strong business performance by aligning regional priorities with global energy transition objectives. His expertise spans substation automation, protection and control systems, and digital grid solutions, complemented by a proven ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and build lasting partnerships with customers, utilities, and government stakeholders.

Throughout his career, Alvin has held several senior leadership roles, including Regional General Manager and Operations Director, where he established a strong track record in operational excellence and customer engagement. He began his leadership journey as Regional Managing Director at Alstom Grid, playing a key role in expanding substation automation solutions across the region and successfully guiding the business through its transition to GE and subsequently GE Vernova. Alvin holds a Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New South Wales, Australia, and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore.
